Our story

2011: Test-as-code is born

Back in 2011, Gatling was born from frustration. Load testing tools were clunky, slow, and impossible to fit into CI/CD workflows.

So we created Gatling OSS, one of the very first test-as-code solutions, a developer-friendly way to make performance testing part of everyday development.

2017: from Open-source to Enterprise

As the community grew, so did the expectations. Teams wanted collaboration, governance, and scale.

That’s when we built the Enterprise Edition, expanding from a single open-source tool into a full platform that brings teams together, integrates with DevOps pipelines, and scales across clouds.

2025: a global platform

Fast-forward to today: Gatling powers 30M+ downloads, 300,000+ organizations, and millions of users across 65+ countries.

We’re no longer just an open-source project , we’re a global company, shaping the future of load testing for developers, QA teams, and enterprises.
